KABUL, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Unknown armed men killed six members of a family in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province on Tuesday night, provincial police spokesman Sayed Tayeb Jawad said Thursday.

The gruesome incident took place in Sultanpoor village of Surkhrod district, the official confirmed.

The victims include four children, a woman and a man, the official added. ■
