RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Peru international winger Kevin Quevedo scored a late winner as Alianza Lima reached the Copa Sudamericana quarterfinals with a 2-1 away victory over Ecuador's Universidad Catolica on Wednesday.
The host took the lead on the night when Azarias Londono finished clinically in the 18th minute after Mauro Diaz's through ball.
Eryc Castillo equalized with a 39th-minute strike before Quevedo sent a long-range effort into the top-right corner after combining with Hernan Barcos.
The result at Quito's Estadio Olimpico secured a 4-1 aggregate victory.
In Cusco, Martin Cauteruccio and Damian Batallini struck first-half goals as Bolivian club Bolivar clinched a 2-0 away win over Peru's Cienciano. The La Paz-based side prevailed 4-0 on aggregate.
Cauteruccio converted a 15th-minute penalty and Batallini doubled the advantage by running onto Robson Matheus' defense-splitting pass and lashing home from distance. ■
